Of course, this is the exact reason the north went to war with the south. The economic advantage the south had in terms of cheap labor. Now, the US is utilizing extremely cheap labor to produce their goods. How is this any different from the pre-civil war south?

The difference is that the North used the economic leverage from the South to strengthen itself, so that it was ultimately able to defeat the South.

Now, we're letting "the South" (mexico and especially china) use the economic leverage to strenghen themselves. When the war comes, it'll be china that wins, not us.
