We can be welcoming of LEGAL aliens, we should kick illegals to the curb. You're missing the point. This would make a way for the immigrants to come here legally. Nothing I have seen in this proposal so far talks about granting citizenship to the people here illegally, but provides a mechanism to grant guest worker visas to those who want to come here to work, then return home.

We already have a mechanism for that. It's called legal immigration and we should be following the already established laws instead of trying to create new ones.

I guess I'm with you on this one. I've read the article, and I don't really understand why people are upset.

One incentive to return home could be a federally maintained saving account for each guest worker. (Employee and employer contributions) Guest workers would qualify for savings disbursement only after returning home under favorable circumstances.
