Try to put your fingers as his are in the picture... give up? It looks to me if he's simply crossing his fingers - middle finger over the forefinger. Nothing funny here.
I smell Photoshop...
Definitely NOT PS. I checked the header and no Adobe product (or Corel or Paint Shop) has touched this picture. It's authentic and probably straight from a digital camera.
