I have wondered all along...where are the checks and balances that are put into place to protect people?

They have all failed. The higher courts won't go against one of their own. Law enforcement won't investigate. Florida DCF won't investigate. State Attorney Bernie McCabe won't investigate. The Guardianship Committee won't investigate.

There is ample reason to start an investigation by any one of these authorities, yet nothing happens.

I truly don't know how the Schindlers bear it.

Roe v. Wade continues to bear its bitter fruit. Were not the soi-disant right to an abortion ensconced in imperial (er, federal) law, and trickled down to the states, Baird (and Felos, who doubtlessly fed it to him) would have had nowhere to go to dig up that "presumptively unconstitutional" garbage mantra, which prematurely announced decision denies the governor even the right to argue at the trial court level that the law in question is NOT "presumptively unconstitutional." Under ordinary circumstances this would be grounds for an appeal, but I put nothing past the effects of Satan's deadly spell upon that state, and indeed I fear upon the nation at large.
