Batchelor Radio Show
Batchelor Radio Show | January 2, 2004 | Batchelor Radio Show

Last night on the Batchelor Radio Show, Batchelor interviewed a news reporter who broke a story about Libya. I didn't get the reporter's name.

He said that the U.S. had intercepted and taped conversations between Libyan officials and a German manufacturing firm which was supplying components to Libya for manufacturing WMD, specifically poison gas. The libyans were complaining that the components were defective, and this led to the deaths of some of their people working on them.

Also, the U.S. had identified an underground bunker complex in Libya where this research was being conducted. The reporter said that the reason the U.S. was working on a nuclear bunker-buster bomb was to develop a weapon which could penetrate a large mountain in Libya where these WMD were being developed and destroy it, and they had planned to do so. However, the tests on the bomb indicated it couldn't do the job, and the U.S. started planning an invasion of Libya to capture this site and destroy it. News of this is what is supposed to have convinced Quadaffi to come clean, along with the U.S.'s successful rapid destruction of the Iraqi military machine, and his taped messages to North Korea.

Further, the U.S. had interecepted messages between Libya on WMD with North Korea, Iraq, and Iran. The same show on a prior program interviewed the sme reporter who said that there was an area in Pakistan where WMD were being prepared, which was inaccessible to the President of Pakistan. It was apparently in some remote area. Material from this location was sent to Libya, North Korea and SAUDI ARABIA. Representatives from Saudi Arabia, including the current the present ruler there were able to visit the site even though the President of Pakistan couldn't.

Anyone out there hear or read anything about this? I haven't and it seems to be really explosive materail which will blow the Dems out the water in the next election, especially if Dean is nominated.

Last night on the Batchelor Radio Show, Batchelor interviewed a news reporter who broke a story about Libya. I didn't get the reporter's name.

That was John Loftus, and was a repeat (not a new story) of Batchelor talking with Loftus after Saddam was captured. This past week, the Batchelor show's been all repeats, no new stories.

They were a hoot. A conservative democrat and a liberal republican. Wonder why they broke up?

What happened to his partner?

Paul Alexander left last month. I saw a report (don't remember where) that he's got a play coming out on Broadway, and he's working on that.

The underground bunker is old stuff. The news of the Libyans building a huge, underground coastal fortification has been around since the beginning of Bush’s administration. Read Free Republic. Some even thought the Egyptians are collaborating with the Libyans, where both are supposed to be mutual enemies. Libyans relatively advanced development of WMD is new news to me. John Bachelor’s news program makes old news seem fresh. Why else would he call it “Conspiracy Radio?” He has taken a page out of the left wing propagandist’s operational textbook and using it against them.

More on Paul Alexander leaving here in the Washington Times. (This isn't the report I saw, but it has the information I remember seeing elsewhere.)

It was on between 10:00 and 11:00 EST.

On WABC radio in New York, their show aired from 10:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., unless there was a sports broadcast. Alexander always ended the show with 'Take it away, Kate', and they'd play 'God Bless America' at 1:00. Then, after the song, Alexander did the time announcement: 'It's one o'clock. God bless America'.

The show's hours are the same now, but often get pre-empted by Devils' hockey or Seton Hall basketball. I don't know what the syndicated show's hours are.

Whenever I listened to their show, it seemed that Alexander didn't have much to say.

[Mark Simone said he'll be back on today at 1:00 after Monica.]

Hey Zulu,

Long time no talk. John Loftus has been talking about Libya's complex in the hollowed out mountain for a long time. Of course he's also been saying that Hussein was killed last March for a long time too. But we've got the downing of Pan Am 103 against Quadaffi anyway so for the families of those Americanns killed if for no other reason, I think we should kill that piece of ugly garbage regardless. He's pulling the usual arab snake-speak. First he makes the deal, then he changes the terms. Kill him.

>Their talk show line-up gets better every day.

Like the stock market, we talk about how much better WABC gets all the time but what we mean is it's gotten better since the crash. In WABCs case, the crash came when John Manelli left. Now we've got this genius program director who fills weekend nights with informercials and who wanted to fill the station with sports until the Yankees rejected them.
