My lib NYC sister loves Egypt; went there twice, when things heated up Egyptians she knew told here to forget it.
I know lots of Egyptians that tell they have no reason to even ever visit there again and most are Muslims.
Dead serious and nothing will change their minds either.
Beats a travel brochure or a TV ad.

This crash made me think of those German tourists who were killed in 1999 or 2000 while on a pyramid tour in Egypt.
