This guy seems to be an exellent candidate to run against Bush in the general election. He is just a bit wacko. Shouldn't we see to it that he gets the demo nod?

You are all quite wrong. As Bill Clinton realized, democrats would hardly get elected in this country without the black vote. And when it's a highly motivated vote, democrats are tough to beat. Dean is just warming up for a blatantly rascist appeal to black voters, and one they are sure to go for. Do you have any idea how many black voters actually associated George Bush with dragging black people behind pickup trucks? Answer: a lot. It was the black vote that almost made Gore a winner. And Clinton literally got away with going to a black church and associating Bob Dole with lynchings and church bombings.

Hmm, let's see. I'm a white Southerner, with no racial annimous towards anybody, but I oppose quotas and reparations. I wonder what Dean is talking about, as those things mentioned above are legitimate positions on the issues? What is he going to change?
