I know you asked blam, but I found this on google:

"The Classic Mayan civilization was unique and left us a way to incorporate higher dimensional knowledge of time and creation by leaving us the Tzolkin calendar. The Mayans invented the calendars we use today. The present calendar ends in the year 2012."

Thanks for the looksee.

IIRC, there is some controversy about that date, in part due to errors in the Gregorian calendar.

The present calendar ends in the year 2012.

December 23, 2012. Some scholars read it December 24, 2012. It doesn't matter, only God knows when the world will end and other than recurring astrological phenomenon (i.e. comets, eclipses, etc.) the Mayans were no more intellgent than anyone else.
