O.K.
This explains why the trout aren't biting this year at Yellowstone.

All of the crazy crap that has happened around the world in my lifetime... I wouldn't be surprised if aliens landed on the White House lawn.

This article is VERY much overhyped and seems written by a kook.

This -
"Then during the last part of July one of the Park geologists discovered a huge bulge at the bottom of Yellowstone Lake. The bulge has already risen over 100 feet from the bottom of the lake and the water temperature at the surface of the bulge has reached 88 degrees and is still rising." doesn't jive with what it says at Frequently asked questions about recent findings at Yellowstone Lake
"Has the "inflated plain" been growing? At present, there is no evidence of recent growth of any features beneath the lake, and there is no indication that residents or visitors are in any danger. Temperature measurements from hydrothermal vents taken this year indicate no change in temperatures compared to those taken last year. The feature may have been there for decades or much longer. "

the explosion of this 'super volcano' could happen at any moment. This line alone makes me question the entire story. A massive eruption would likely be preceeded by waring signs, including some powerful earthquakes. Sounds like someone may be trying to market leftover Y2k supplies.

What with that magma being underneath Yellowstone Lake, we have the potential for some horrific steam explosion.
Mt. St. Hellens (50 miles NNE of my house) blew by the hot magma flashing the subterranean water in the mountain into steam. Yellowstone has the potential for an explosion many times the size of St Hellens.

Hey, where did you fish this year?

The last eruption was 640,000 years ago making the next one long overdue. Scientists make these guesstimates all the time. There's no way for sure to know when Yellowstone may erupt and there's no exact time when the last eruption occurred. It could be another 10,000 - 40,000 years ago before Yellowstone blows it lid.
By the time it blows we'd be long gone. So who cares and let's crack open some beers!!

people visiting the Park usually stay but a few hours before leaving since the stench of sulfur is so strong they literally can't stand the smell. My BS meter is starting to shake...

When Yellowstone does blow, some geologists predict that every living thing within six hundred miles is likely to die. My BS meter just exploded in flames...

The animals are literally migrating out of the park. The animals have it figured out. As the old Imperial margerine commercial used to say, "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature." Why should we even try? ;-)
