D.C. Fox affiliate WTTG-5 reported a few minutes ago that British Airways flight 223 has been detained on the tarmac at Dulles Airport, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C.
The flight landed at 7:06 p.m. Passengers have not been allowed to deplane. Some family members waiting at the terminal were able to speak with some of the passengers via cellphone. They were told TSA and other security personnell are interviewing passengers and inspecting luggage.
Over two hundred passengers and crew are on the plane.
More to follow as reported. Please forgive any errors as this just caught my ear.

Just checked out the local channel... had a live report from Dulles... Whatever it was, it wasn't there.
It was really loud and it echoed... It wasn't a firecracker... More like TNT. Half or quarter stick.
And someone just did it again... Some moron's got a hold of the heavy stuff tonight. Great.

Can you fathom it? Here we are with a suspicious plane on the Tarmac, obvious hints of mad scrambles to catch someone trying to hurt us and they have Girls gone Wild on Tv,,like fiddliing while Rome burns.

Yeah, it's the new designation for the stealth plane that's painted gray for daytime operations (just friggin' kidding).

I'm not even looking at a tv...did lots of field bio work back in the 70's.
They're going to go over every cm for nasty stuff I bet.
They should start looking at the ground crew too at both airports.

Negative. Fox-5 going to regular programming. I'm turning to the other local stations to see if they'll have anything new on their 11 p.m. newscasts.

May be looking for some one rather than some thing.OTOH, why did they circle and wait for FBI to arrive unless something went down just before arrival and that someone said it will be a while leads one to believe there was an on board incident just before landing.May be a Let's Roll Moment.
