As long as reciprocity is the goal of Senor Fox and Senor Bush, the US should insist that Mexican laws should be amended to allow Americans to own property in Mexico and be entitled to all the benefits that the pachukos enjoy here. What is good for the goose should be good for the gander. Upon talking to various retirees that have visited in Mexico, the living costs down there would be attractive to the aged if the Mexican government would allow them to own their own property and provide for their health needs.

if the Mexican government would allow them to own their own property and provide for their health needs.FYI, Gringos can buy property in Mexico (just not w/in 100km of the border or 50? km of the coast). Adequate health care is about $250/mo but ya gotta habla to communicate w/ the DR.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on some conversations I've had with mining principles, those property ownership laws have been reformed recently...
