If that's actually true now, then we are sunk. It's not true yet. But if our society has no new engineers and no manufacturing , then we are dead. We cannot outsource our military designs and production.

(I'm hoping the real explanation is that most Americans are just asleep on this topic, and not drinking too much Kool-Aid). Greed on the part of the CEOs and crooked congressmen I understand. And, I'm guessing that they plan to live on unchartered islands after they retire, since they must realize that they are destroying America.
