The procurement of all this equipment should be awarded to companies who produce the parts/assemblies inside the US ONLY. No subcontracting any of it outside the US. The Bush Administration opposed language in the defense appropriation which would have established domestic content requirements - it was dropped.

It's time for the US DoD to come to the rescue of America (again). We're at war. The DoD needs lots of new stuff for this war and the real war to follow. (Space.) ===
Military complex can't support economical circle. Because the comsumption of military product is a war.
The source of the problem is that the educational level of population of third world countries catch up with same in USA. Hence they can man modern technology plants for less pay. Before today even 30 year s ago there was obvious educational gap between those countries but not today.
Accually America raised China by her own hands when transfered to there producing power. It was chinese policy to lure technology into China just providing cheap workforce. Today China just cash in this policy.
I think that AMERica and west still produces new technology but use of that technology in industry already in third worlders hands.
SO scientific and engennering America are still a leaders. But american workforce are losers here.
The real trouble will be if chinese scientists and engineers will catch up. It is possible because we all know what did japanese.
