I'm sure they do their best, but there are so many laws they don't even know what they all are, let alone trying to enforce the ones they do know.>>>>>>

So I guess the *voters* have enacted too many laws for our gov't to enforce ??? If gov't can't enforce ("not enough resources")all our laws, let them take them off the books, & there's PLENTY they can start with that would pertain to CITIZENS.

****Ever heard Washington announce they didn't have the *resources* to prosecute all TAX-EVADERS ?? (txdoda)***

Sorry, this was posted partly from reading one of your answers on the "Immigration Misstep Thread".

****"Unless amnesty is preceded by a change in immigration laws that will actually be enforced, then it does nothing to solve the illegal immigration problem." (The Don)****

Two head of INS have *announced* in the last two years, we don't have the resources, not workable to deport, too impractical to deport. That & the fact we have millions of illegals running around the USA. That NOBODY'S looking for.

Now you say the LAWBREAKERS should be given amnesty FIRST........then *everyone* will be informed of our 'new immigration laws'.

To 'equate' this to the IRS......IRS would continually tell tax-payers they didn't have the resources to prosucute all of them (btw many of these are illegals), IRS would not be looking for them, IRS would then announce an 'amnesty' for all tax-evaders, & at some 'later date' announce the new tax laws.

Looks like you misread my comments in this regard. Try re-reading them.
