I couldn't agree with you more. If you listen to Dubya speak you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. You hear it in his opposition to abortion, and his support for faith based initiatives, and school choice. Dubya is a leader who REALLY does have compassion for all people. It is not just words like "I feel your pain." In this respect he reminds me of Ronald Reagan.
The leftist media WILL point to Buchanan as an example of conservative bigotry while ignoring 'rats like Sen Robert Bird, or Congressman Jim Moran. This will change in time as today's conservative ideas become tomorrow's norm. I believe true conservatism is based upon the teachings of Christ...and Christ did not abandon whole races of people. Neither shall conservatism.
One of the best voices of Conservatism is Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh has always spoke of the need for more immigration. Rush will be around long after Mike Savage is a faded memory.
But sometimes we know he's high. Also I don't think he lives where the problems are occurring and doesn't see everything that is going on.
