In any case I don't agree with your letter to President Bush threatening to withdraw support for him in 2004 if he doesn't change his position to agree with you on this particular issue.

I am saying the Republican Party's position on this issue (read: soft on illegals) IS, indeed, taking us to the sewer, figuratively speaking.

You don't think so? Do you think rewarding illegals with citizenship or legal residency is going to IMPROVE our security, or economy, or our society as a whole?

You don't agree with my letter to Bush (and DeLay, and Hastert), threatening to w/d support (as I said, that could mean financial support, or supporting other candidates in primaries). Fine. How do YOU suggest that I, average Joe Citizen, get the point across to my elected representatives that they had better change their tune? What other leverage do I have?
