WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (CNN) -- As attorneys for Rush Limbaugh went to court Monday to try to keep his medical records out of the hands of Florida prosecutors, there have been negotiations on a possible plea bargain for the conservative talk show host, according to a spokeswoman for his radio network.

I can't imagine Rush was pushing drugs on innocent people.

And no, CNN quoting a radio spokesman about some vague amount of drugs is not the equivalent to any amount of drugs having been seized. remember, that radio spokesperson is essentially his employer, the company his contract is with.

That's not the point Alissa.
Neither were the strawmen IA was tossing about, but...

If he is innocent, (and I am sure he is not completely innocent) let him go with the threat of incarceration should he repeat it.
If he is innocent..... let him go with the threat of incarceration should he repeat it....... Okay.... Innocent..... let go.... but don't you dare repeat it...
I don't believe rushie has even been charged with anything yet, has he? And he's trying to 'cop a plea bargain' arrangement...
I guess that Kennedy lawyer knows what he is doing....

If Rush is guilty, and he might very well be, if you were in his shoes, what would you instruct your atty. to do?

Roy Black claims that Rush bought illegally-obtained drugs from his maid. Beyond the e-mails and the legal voice recordings, now Roy Black is conceding the story. And I believe this is the first time that anyone has confirmed this. Up until this confirmation, anyone making this claim has been speculating.
As I've been saying, just wait. The truth will come out.

"If Rush is guilty, convict him and give him the probation that all OTHER celebs get that screw up one time. If he is innocent, (and I am sure he is not completely innocent) let him go with the threat of incarceration should he repeat it."
My understanding was that they rarely convict first time offenses with prescription drug abuse.
Think he should pay a fine and do no time. . .ie NO criminal conviction .
Color me a Rush 'loyalist'.

If Rush is guilty, convict him and give him the probation that all OTHER celebs get that screw up one time. If he is innocent, (and I am sure he is not completely innocent) let him go with the threat of incarceration should he repeat it. It's highly unlikely that Rush will do time.
A first-time offender with Roy Black as an attorney will not do time. Roy Black has gotten off drug dealers caught on tape and turned in by snitches.
I hope Rush will use this incident to start a new chapter in his life and continues his radio show. He's just great on radio.

You make the call. No, no one gets to "make the call" in a question of fact. Either drugs were seized or they were not. You can't speuclate and jump to conclusions and then when called on it, call it a matter of opinion.

Yes, you're educating me quite nicely about disingenuous behavior.
BTW, Maybe if you did take a hit off a bong, you wouldn't feel so comfortable throwing about stats that you yourself haven't directly examined, then plead "boredom" when asked to present something besides your special "Lip Sauce" as backing.
Try again Junior...

I'm with you. Lots of people do that. It's pretty obvious when I go to pick them up and they have two or three doctors prescribing their medications. If they were all prosecuted, there wouldn't be room in prison.

Addicts will do whatever is necessary to support their habits --Steal--Lie--Sell Drugs
Rush's financial situation meant he didn't have to sell drugs or steal BUT he lived a lie for 8 years and if he doctored shopped that is another lie
I personally could care less what he does with HIS body

And I believe this is the first time that anyone has confirmed thisI'll be listening to Rush tomorrow, since I suspect he will address this issue on his show.
His audience tomorrow will be larger than usual.

Merry Christmas to you as well IA.

One word: CONTEXT! The post was discussing the drug laws in general, not Rush in particular. It's clear what the context of this thread is.
