OK Alissa, which ones, as IA claims have been Using AND Selling, repeatedly, NEVER seeing any jail time?
Please, if there are so many, it really shouldn't be so difficult to cite a wee bit of case law, should it?
To: dread78645
You seem to be able to cite the law.
But you can't cite the law that was broken.

He mentioned Marta today. He's mentioned her several several times since he's been back.

Oh, I thought you were impressed by the credibility of the maid.
I'm glad we agree she is not a very credible "messenger".
I assume you also agree CNN isn't very credible.
Hey, I'll wait and see how it falls out in the real world. (Never had to hire a maid so I can't get 'Holier than Rush' about his mistake there.)

Has the topic of why Rush didn't buy his drugs from the internet been done yet? I don't relish going thru 199 or more posts to find out...

As a long time Freeper, I guess my respect for you took a major dive.

You obviously haven't kept up with this thread.
The e-mails can't be used because anybody could have sent them. She had access to his house and computers.
The recordings of his voice cannot be used in court because its illegal to tape someone without their permission.
Have a nice day, LOL!

You don't need a law degree to know that.Evidence illegally obtained by the government is inadmissible. Evidence illegally obtained by a private party is admissible.

Has the topic of why Rush didn't buy his drugs from the internet been done yet?No one has brought up that issue.
I've never heard anyone suggests that Rush bought any drugs via Internet.
To: Lurking Libertarian
Uh no. This has nothing to do with how it was obtained. The fact that she recorded his voice without his permission is illegal. It cannot be used in court, no matter how much you would like it to be so.

Gee if I was a Hollywood groupie I could give you all the facts. Try the brunette guy that got so many chances who starred in Friends for one. Try all those NFL players for two.

Couldn't Rush buy all of the drugs in the world on the internet, using as many different names as he pleased and it wouldn't be illegal?

Wrong on both counts.
The maid did not have access to Rush's computer at the time in question, since Rush sent the e-mails when she was not working for him.
Rush's voice recordings are legal, because they are voice messages. Answering machines are legal in Florida.
To: toomuchcoffee
I still don't see any evidence that he obtained illegal drugs at all, LOL!

In retrospect, having played for years in a rock band, it is amazing that I never got busted, not even a single DUI, ever. Course, I really didn't inhale. :)
We even went into Mexico with a VAN once and re-crossed the border and the border agents were sure they had some "A-mer-eee-can" hippies to bust . . . but they didn't.

The maid provided legal recordings of Rush's voice left in her answering machine.
To: ConservativeMan55
The fact that she recorded his voice without his permission is illegal. It cannot be used in court, no matter how much you would like it to be so. That's simply not correct, sorry.
To: george wythe
Ahhhh.
How do you know the exact times?
Any recording of another's voice cannot be used. Its illegal. Wish upon a star all you want. Run him over with a steamroller. But you can't tape a voice recording without permission.
