Its the Age Of Enlightenment for some folks.

LOL, ain't that the truth!

Before Rush got caught it was throw the scumbags in jail for life, take their cars, homes money, bankrupt their families and put their kids on the street!

But now suddenly, its all different! Its so unfair to treat Rush like a common criminal, sniff.

Nobody gives a damn about a poor man or a working class stiff/idiot who ruins his life with dope but there is compassion overflowing for a super-rich JERK who does the same thing. Go figure...

Oh no. I believe she did blackmail him. She found out things about his personal life. Or what she thought was his personal life.

She threatened to go to the authorities with it.

He balked at her...knowing that nothing would come out of it.

She got angry and went to the authorities with information about his private life.

The authorities decided then that they would selectively enforce a law. Even though they didn't and still don't have any evidence to do so.

The only evidence that they have and cannot use is an illegal tape made by the housekeeper.

Rush and his lawyer are lying to the court?

Can you provide a link to a direct quote from Rush Limbaugh?

Rush has not said anything about $4 mil and a maid.

Lawyers lie in court all the time, especially Roy Black.

That's why he's the best. He can lie with a straight face, like he did when he defended the Colombian drug kingpins.

Too bad nobody informed you that the tape cannot be used in court because its illegal to tape someone without their permission.

Where did you get your law degree from?

You didn't answer the question. Do you believe Rush was blackmailed by his former housekeeper? Yes or no.

Your speculating that he's lying. Lawyers lie all the time?

That may be true...but I don't think a broad sweeping generalization should replace good solid facts.

Thats right! Lets selectively enforce the drug laws and then when the targets complain we will say that lawyers lie all the time!

You can try to kill the messenger all you want, but the maid is not the main issue here.

The main issue is Rush's bad judgment hiring this maid, and Rush's even worse judgment sending her e-mails and voice messages asking for illegally-obtained drugs.

You don't need a law degree to know that.

How do you know Rush sent any e-mails?

I've heard nothing about voice messages?

You must be personally involved in this case to know so much about it.

Florida wiretap rule says Demoncrats can tape conversation without consent, but Republicans can't.

Rush was "caught" on tape asking his dealer/maid to score some dope for him. He checked in to a rehab center to get the monkey off his back. Did you think that was a normal vacation???

Jeez, you people are in serious denial!

Besides Roy Black's statement, you have no proof of the maid and the $4 mil.

If you want to believe an amoral attorney, you are welcome to it.

I was just cautioning you that Rush has not made any accusations about a maid and $4 mil.

Only Roy Black is peddling the story.

On the other hand, the maid has something better than an attorney's statement.

The maid has Rush on tape and e-mail asking for illegally-obtained drugs.

Btw, Roy Black's story might be true, but he needs to provide proof beyond just stating a story in court.

I've seen no evidence of illegal activity.

Florida Statutes 893.13(7)(a) It is unlawful for any person:

8. To withhold information from a practitioner from whom the person seeks to obtain a controlled substance or a prescription for a controlled substance that the person making the request has received a controlled substance or a prescription for a controlled substance of like therapeutic use from another practitioner within the previous 30 days.

9. To acquire or obtain, or attempt to acquire or obtain, possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

You are in severe denial.

The stories about the emails and the voice mails have been out for weeks.

Rush's own attorneys paid the maid $200,000 -- $80,000 that he owed her, plus $120,000 for her HARD DRIVE.

Agreed. That'll be hard to prove, (unless he saw this all coming and taped her...) which doesn't seem the case what with all his early and fervent denials.

"Yep,got one guy here who thinks I am gonna spend 4 hours researching all the famous people who were convicted 2-3 times before seeing jail time. I pass."

Research? Why should you have to research, when you make a charge like that, especially claiming that these Folks were busted 2-3 times each for not only Using Illegal Drugs, but Selling them as well, one would normally assume you weren't "shooting from the Lip" and had something to back up your charges.

The fact that you haven't the, ah, fortitude to address me personally does little to impress me with your wellspring of actual knowledge, and in fact leaves me questioning the rest of your fevered defence of Rush...

Search FR for articles about Rush.

If you don'y know about Rush's e-mails and voice recordings given to the DA by the maid, I have nothing else to discuss with you.

You haven't kept up with the news.

"Bellows said Limbaugh, who recently completed treatment for addiction to prescription painkillers, recognizes that he may have purchased drugs illegally under Florida law and "certainly had more pills than he could ever use."

I heard a caller the other day ask Rush how his cat was doing since it had been attacked by another cat. He said he had never heard Rush mention how his cat was and just wanted to know. This incident with the cats took place sometime before we knew Rush's addiction and Rush had gone on and on about how he and Marta were dealing with the cats.

I had a feeling this person was fishing to see if Rush would mention Marta again in connection with the cats.

Rush just said his cat is doing just fine and that those other cats were just being baby sat. They were not his and they were back home now.

Still no mention of Marta.
