I'm so glad you posted this. It is an important fact to remember that it was Trent Lott, posing as a Man, who refused David Schippers requests for appropriate time to conduct a trial, and ultimately (you know it's true) defining his own demise (by not keeping hold of his tongue) a few years later. Mr. Schippers book is a scathing and wholly true indictment of our Republican leadership (or rather lack-there-of) at the time, that I was originally embarrassed to share w/ my conservative friends
here in L.A., but I have naturally endured them in the dialogue.
I am still amazed at the number of Senators that refused to look at all of the evidence in the (I believe it was the White building?) Gov't armed and totally concealed room in Washington, where they could've viewed all of those boxes of evidence, that went WAAAAAAY beyond his crude use of females and into more important issues that Ken Starr skated over. Anyone that hasn't read the final transcript between Shippers and Ken Starr (which I link below) AFTER he was through 'bearing through' David "I am paid to Mislead" Kendall, who Mr. Starr tactfully exposes a manipulative excuse for a lawyer, should read these 2 links. Kendall went first. The Schippers/Starr dialogue that follows annunciates (For The Historical Record) just how manipulative the Clinton Machine ( and everybody involved in the defense of, including Mr. Charles Ruff who even "...conceded in Wednesday's hearing that "reasonable people" may conclude that the president lied..."
