This war was always about advancing Israel's agenda in the Middle East....... The 200 or so soldiers who have died in Iraq, and the thousands seriously wounded or otherwise disabled, were sacrificed to make the world – or, at least, the Middle East – safe for Israel.

Question: Is this a bad thing?

Does it not achieve our goals of a safer US?

I would suggest it does.

This war was always about advancing Israel's agenda in the Middle East NOPE !

The war was about the expansion of terrorism in the Middle East and the need to stop it as this area is critical to the stability of the world economy, i.e. oil.

Getting a democracy in Iraq is a good first step. It will send a strong message to other nations in that area who support terrorism. Over the years, it will also help promote democracy in other nations as the people see how capitalism works. Iraq is a wealthy country, their citizens stand to benefit greatly.
