people often do horrible things for any number of reasons Those that do it "in the name of God" have no reason whatsoever behind their actions.
Religion has nothing whatever to do with reality, reason and truth.

Religion has nothing whatever to do with reality, reason and truth. And I suppose you consider yourself to be all rational and everything? Have you ever bothered to prove -- really, rationally prove -- your "rational" position?
If you're honest, you'll admit that you cannot. And in that admission, you'll realize you're full of beans when you make silly statements like this one.

religion has nothing to do with reality or reason?
screed-wise, your dialectic is admirably lean on justification or substantiation.
of course, that may be because you have an unformed or uninformed understanding of the role, value and meaning of religion.

Religion has nothing whatever to do with reality, reason and truth. At the Last Day, make sure you tell G-d that.
Maybe He'll accept an insanity plea.

Religion has nothing whatever to do with reality, reason and truth. In a sense...you are correct.
We cannot actually see the God. (reality)
We cannot believe in God based inherently reasonable, logical and explainable principles. (reason)
We cannot physically prove that God exists. (truth)
But...a faith in God is just that...faith. Sometimes faith is not reasonable
