Which brings us back to Hussein. I'm not convinced. The bloke they pulled out of that hole looked more like Willie Nelson. What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. May God have mercy on your soul.
What an ass.

The turkey was not brought by Bush. The turkey was real. It simply hadn't been presliced and put into serving trays as had the other turkeys. Yes it was beautifully arraigned as a center piece and would have probably found its way to the officers' mess afterwords, but it was not plastic. You are, to the best of my information, correct on all points but one. The turkey that most of the troops ate was prepared in gigantic superheated steam cookers since oven baking thousands of turkeys is impractical. Hence the importance of the roasted turkey centerpiece; it provides the familiar sight and aromas of home.

Unintentionally funny - the best this poor sap can do to denigrate the capture of one of the worst murdering despots in recent history is to compare him to a prop turkey and then manage to get all the details wrong. It's humor all right, but not the kind the author was trying for.

Years ago, hand on heart while gazing at a portrait of my patron saint, Bertrand Russell,BWAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahaha!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Lord Russell was the most brilliant jackass in the history of the human race.
And I don't mean it as a joke. He really was.

"Right up there with the carefully stage-managed landing of the Commander in Chief on the deck of that US carrier, wearing his really sexy, Right Stuff jet pilot's uniform."I thought it was called a 'flight suit.'

Actually, it is more like already-prepared slices of turkey in 14"x20"x3" rectangular cans (sort of like a cross between a canned ham and a cake pan). They have all the moisture they need inside, and are simply heated on the self-contained gas cooking units in the mess (at least that's what we got for our Holiday meal in Desert Shield/Storm).

A Russian acquaintance of mine thinks that the Saddam capture was faked by the CIA. She couldn't believe that a bigshot like Saddam would just give himself up.

Oddly enough, no one ever mentions Clinton's little trip across the Atlantic on the USS George Washington, his stationing of a Battle Crusier off the beaches of Normandy for a photo op, or he and his staff ransacking the Washington's VIP quarters and stealing everything on her they could.

Heh, heh. Rush has always said liberals are funniest when they're out of power, because then all the fringe elements have no one to contain them. The Iraq endeavor has brought out the fruits and nuts from all over the world.
Phillip Adams can now join the esteemed Robert Fisk as a foreign journalist completely unware that he looks like a freaking moron, and his political opponents have long since decided he's amusing rather than challenging. He'll probably increase his circulation. He just won't notice it's on the funny pages.

Latest reports from Saddam's supporters conclude that our troops gassed him. "He never would have done such a thing as to hide in a spider hole." Spin, spin, spin.
