The DUers are reeling. A few have the decency to admit the capture is fantastic news, but most are pathetically switching gears to "saddam really isn't behind the insurgency against the U.S. imperialist occupiers." Others are about to pull out the cyanide-flavored Kool-Aid. Worth the trip.

Are those your ideas ...

They are mine. Watching the breaking news from 7 AM this morning, these thoughts kept popping into my head, so I wrote them down. Feel Free to add your own.

BTW, a few more

Tom Daschle: "I'm deeply relieved for the people of Iraq. OF COURSE we want them to be free, but I'm truly saddened that it was a partisan operation. Surely the President could have included some centrist 4th Infantry members in the rescue team. I'm afraid President Bush has poisoned the well for a non-partisan army. Obviously we were right to try to disallow the votes of our radical right wing Armed Forces in Florida in 2000."

Edward Kennedy: "I'm outraged that President Bush has refused to give Saddam Hussein adequate health care coverage!"

Democratic Underground: "HALLIBURTON-NO BLOOD FOR OIL-CHIMPY-NADER DID THIS TO US-THE U.N. MADE THIS HAPPEN-IT'S PATRIOTIC TO BE PRO-SADDAM..."
