Brokaw: I think that was the question regarding the currency they had to finance the insurgency.

Aspen: Given the number of dollars the US forces have turned up (including one BILLION in the spring), the currency of the attack is the US dollar. I think authorities are concerned that large amounts of cash still are in the insurgency.

Brokaw: cash... widely believed to be the fuel of the insurgency... military commanders will tell you that they've been making great progress... but in assymmetric warfare it's not quantitative, it's qualitative...still having suicide bombings occurring.
