Its about time the republican grew up and stopped blaming every bad thing on the Clintons...the Clintons were scum, no doubt, but bush has been in office for 3 years, and the republicans have controlled both houses for over 1 year now; if they had wanted to do something about this flu vaccination "problem", they could have. What did the Clintons do, that the current congress and president could not have undone if they so desired?
Blaming the Clintons is getting to be a real old story at this point....
The reason there is a "shortage" this year is soley because the media has wipped the masses into a panic about 11 deaths, when in fact 360000 deaths is about aveage each and every year.

Hold on. There IS a shortage of vaccine, so one or both of your arguments is wrong. Either media hype attempts to create a bigger story than it is(not much doubt about this one) and /or there aren't enough vaccine makers, which is where Hillary comes in.
And Bush can't magically put people into business that had basically been forced out years ago.
Anyone who wants government to run ANYTHING, should visit their local Motor Vehicle Division to see who smooooooooth govt. runs things.

"Vaccination supplies are expected to be plentiful this year and people were urged to begin getting flu vaccinations in October and November. With enough vaccine supply to meet demand, anyone - regardless of age or health status - should be able to get vaccinated..."
The interesting thing is, this excerpt ( BTW it is from
http://www.apha.org/journal/nation/flucover1103.htm Don't you hate it when posters don't support their assertions with citiations?) is from an article not even a month old. I am not inclined to think that production was low because of less manufacturers, but rather fell short due to unexpected demand. In which case implicates the media in my POV.

Sorry, I will never stop blaming the Clintons!!!
Clinton ruined this country. He sold our military secrets to Red China, he feminized the military, disassembled our values, our freedoms, and our beliefs.
Not to mention the laundry list of his associates who died under mysterious circumstances.
Have you ever heard liberals who stopped blaming Reagan for the "homeless," the "rich," and the "AIDS crisis?"
Next time read the article. NewsMax does a fine job of getting us sheeple the real news that isn't reported by the lamestream media. Do you think they're just making this up to preach to the choir?

Hmmm, I've been trying to figure this one out - we are reaching critical mass right now, all 50 states have now felt the effects of the flu virus, yet 20 children (+/-) have died and how many more adults? Not that much more I'm sure... So, how do we come up with the figures 36,000 per year, when we are in the crisis phase right now and haven't come anywhere close to the numbers... Something doesn't smell right here (and NO, I don't get the flu vaccines, no matter who's in office, and I'm still alive, as is my son, as are my grandsons - and - I don't know a single person that's died from the FLU - EVER!).

I heard some woman on the radio yesterday saying, "How can my child be dead from the flu? This is 2003, not the early 1900's". Well, as you said, lots of people do die from the flu every year, usually the young, old, and infirm (the usual suspects). People generally think of the flu as "a bad cold", but it can (and is) a deadly bug.

Can't help but ask, but have you ever been asked to take over a grossly mismanaged company and turn it around?
It is a time-consuming process -- even in medium-sized companies. Given the massiveness of the federal government and the unwieldiness of a political bureacracy (as opposed to a commercial enterprise) we're looking at a decade -- just to identify all the problems, much less do something about each.
And, then, a full generation to actually turn it around...
In that sense, Limbaugh, Limbacher and the WSJ are precisely correct: The vaccine shortage does trace to the early attempts to enforce "Clinton Care".
And, if anybody had seen this coming, say, two or three years ago, something might've been done about it by now.
But, for the past two years, the administration has been distracted by other concerns. Remember the War on Terror?
Your point about the media, though, is apt. The number of deaths to date is comparatively a tempest in a teapot.
