When you find that man, Rosie, help him with the yardwork, and cook dinner together.
I show my appreciation by helping my husband with the yardwork and gutter cleaning. We also make furniture together on weekends, because we don't work at the same place during the week, and enjoy working together. There are always fresh flowers in our house, and I do cook dinner and make him a drink when he gets home. Mutual respect, and doing things for each other that say "I think you're great the way you are".

That reminds me of a joke: What's the difference between a wife and a hoover?

It seems to me there are quite a few of us women around here capable of taking care of ourselves and appreciate a good man, and not all of us "taken"!!!!!
I admit there are things you do that I don't even think I would want to try (you and your power tools!!!) but if I can, I always try to help hubby out - even if the only help I can give him is to keep the daughter out of his way!!!
I would like to get the lights up this evening, as a family project, so that is why I put dinner in the crock pot and am painting windows by myself - although I know a 5yo that will be wanting to "help" when she gets home from school in an hour!!!
