But Davy Crockett's speeches are not the law of the land, the Constitution is.

And if you read through it AND read the 10th Amendment, you will realize that there is NO Constitutional authority for the Federal Government to be involved in redistribution of wealth, PERIOD. Nowhere. Which is precisely what Col Crockett was saying in his speech.
