Interesting. I wonder how ANA's decision came about. Did Boeing or the US government put pressure on them? Or did they look at the plane and decide for themselves that Boeing's criticisms are accurate?

Either way a win.

I suppose it could have something to do with the fact that a large part of the 7E7 would be built in Japan. I've also seen reports that the A-380 will miss it's range targets. That's not a good thing for a new plane and is essentially what killed the MD-11.
