I understand the police had to get him under control, and that they had to use drastic means, but it was sickening to me to watch them beating him and I wonder why they dont use some type of stun gun or something that will render the problem maker incapable of a counter attack, without beating the h-- out of him or otherwise endangering his life.

The point of the ruling of death is that beating him did not kill him. The coroner stated that the stress brought on by the situation was what caused the death. Stunning him, or any other means of trying to stop this man would have caused the same reaction in his system, resulting in his death. It wasn't the beating that killed him, it was the stress/overexcitement/overexertion on his part.

If they had shocked him and he had a heart attck someone would whine about that. This is not about any real concern about police brutality. The man clearly attacked the police and I am having a hard time not questioning the motives of people who have clearly seen what happened and want to second guess the police.

Don't eat till you weigh 350+lbs, get high on cocaine PCP and other drugs and start a fight with the cops; and your obese ass wont die struggling with them.
