It's the ol' slippery-slope.

If gays can marry gays, then . . .

Why not threesomes of all the same sex or various mixtures or some combination of sexes and humans and their pets . . . and why stop at 3?

And then how about marrying animals to animals?

Eventually, everyone can make and dissolve whatever unions they please . . . .

Then once that happens, marriage loses all universality and ceases to mean anything.

So then when that day comes, why bother getting married and why should the state care?

If you look at the "goal" as being the destruction of the role of the "family" in society, then I would say that the left is well on their way to achieving their goal.

It's a mainstreaming of abberations and an open disregard for norms.

I've been asking myself that for years. Marriage should be solely in the domain of the church (or whatever your local equivalent is).
