My thoughts and prayers are with you tonight so you rest, and tomorrow for the drs. and nurses who will be with you during surgery. AND that your IV goes RIGHT in, the first time, and you don't even feel it. I'm sure the nurses in out-patient surgery are very experienced in starting IV's. (PS I don't like them either!) What you should do is print a whole bunch of your favorite "president" pictures (don't forget the flight suit one!) to take along and gaze at them while she puts the IV in. Distraction big time! Just don't let the nurse see them till AFTER the IV is in or SHE might get distracted.
