I don't see how this amendment can possibly fail, unless Ted Kennedy and his Democrats have the guts to filibuster it. Not even they could be so self-destructively stupid.

Votes required to pass a Constitutional amendment - 67

Then why introduce it this year? It would be better to introduce it next year and vote on it just prior to the 2004 DemocRAT national convention.

Senator "Doll Hair" Biden has already said that he will oppose it. He also has stated the he believes homosexual marriage is inevitable.

I think it's a bad idea. We don't want to open the Constitution up in a convention so they can gut it. No telling what those Washington whores would get up to. Want your marriage amendment? Then give up the 2nd amendment. Deal?

I dunno. Seems the gay demographic will be on the upswing in Massachusetts, especially since they won't unite non-resident gays. (So let 'em move there, puh-lease!)
