Could there have been a techincal defect?
The refusal to recuse himself is grounds for an interlocutory appeal. This means an appeal before the case is done. It would be solely on that one issue. While the appeal is pending all other matters are put on hold.

"We are hopeful that Judge Baird has not prejudged the issues, even though his written order from two weeks ago seems to say otherwise,"They're being polite, of course, but this is why we have a trial by jury secured by the Constitution. Have you ever heard of a judge who could decide a case without his, or her bias becoming the deciding factor? It's time to dump the polite "your honor" crap and start kicking some a$$ when these clowns in black robes belch their rulings.

Baird previously indicated he thought the law violated Terri's privacy rights and was "presumptively unconstitutional." Isn't ordering her feeding tube removed a violation to privacy as well?

From the article:
"George Felos, the assisted suicide advocate who is representing Michael, said he planned to file a motion arguing that Baird should not recuse himself."In plain English, isn't Felos also the assisted homicide advocate...?

Breaking local news (4pm) in Pinellas that Jeb issued an appeal to have Baird step down.

I'm convinced that these judges would kill Terri with their own hands if they thought they could get away with it. The depth of their hatred for her is palpable.
To: pollywog
Nah, they aren't trying to take his job away, just trying to get him off this case. One step at a time!
