• 2,010,  (original post) Shandon Belle's grandson Ryan recovering from stroke. Ryan's family has some major setbacks at this time. 1,043 by Shandonbelle.  Update on Ryan!!! "Although Ryan suffers from rt.sided weakness and still requires pt,ot and speech he did enter into kindergarten in Sept.04... the teacher said he is her best pupil."
  • 1,308 11/12/04 "We got the results of Ryan's tests. The good news is he's not having focal seizures. The bad news is his brain is not making the connections it should....He'll be having more tests by the end of this month and I will keep you posted. • 7,484 by  I'm ALL Right! who has been diagnosed with a rare brain malformation called a Chiari Malformation (I). It causes headaches, dizziness, numbness, memory loss...(in extreme cases it could lead to paralysis) all kinds of nice symptoms. The only treatment is surgery, so I'm pretty nervous about it.
• by hilaryrhymeswithrich who's dad has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and additional family stresses causing the family lots of grief at this time.
• 764 by DLfromthedesert for her sister Lucia, who had surgery several years ago for removal of a brain tumor. Her latest CT Scan showed a new growth.  999  by DLfromthedesert.  Update on Lucia!!! Good news!! "The new tumor has not grown and she does not need to see the doctor again for several months. "
• 794 by Starwise who's friend has myelofibrosis, a pretty much fatal disease of the bone marrow .. it becomes scarred over and doesn't produce red blood cells.

In addition to inserting the pacemaker, they also performed a sypathectomy. The procedures took 2 hours and he is in ICU for at least tonight."

Bless you, M0sby,, for keeping PoisedWoman's prayer request for her son on this list. I finally had a conversation with him two days ago and he's doing very well indeed, has a wonderful new job, seemed happy to talk to me. Thanks to all here for praying for him, and please keep it up. He needs prayers to stay away from alcohol, which has given him problems in the past and may still beckon to him, like the Devil in The Passion, subtly, seductively, always in the background.

Dear Lord, I pray that all requests of the faithful on this list receive Your light, Your healing, and Your peace now and forever more.

• 1,359 by Kayak for FReeper Guenevere's Preemie granddaughter, Emily. "Freeper Guenevere's new granddaughter was born on December 10, 2004. Emily Jane was 2 1/2 months early and was delivered by C-section after her mother (Jenny) developed Preeclampsia. She weighed 2 lb. 9 oz, and is 15 in. long."
  • 1,376 Update on Emily Jane "Emily Jane continues to do well.....they say the first 48 hours are critical.....and this AM marks that milestone."

Heeeeeeere's the Divine Miss Em ....

• 1,383  by Guenevere  UPDATE: "She made her 72 hours milestone!!..Praise God!...and is getting fed double portions every 3 hours. Mommy gets to hold her now....and thinks Emily is the cutest!"
• 1,386 "Update on Emily Jane :) Emily, it seems, continues to surpass expectations :)) She's totally without the oxygen tube, never needed lung help, is off her bilirubin lights, is eagerly eating her food, recognizes mommy and daddy's voice and immediately calms.....nurse said 'excellent progress'"
