This is an update on my dad. He had his gall bladder surgery, and he is now doing well. He had some complications from being taken off of his blood thinners for his heart.
It took several weeks of messing with his heart medication before he had the surgery, but he finally did. Now, he is doing well. He's spending most of his time collecting pecans from two pecan trees in his yard. Then he cracks and takes out the meat of the pecans. I know my parents are sending me three pounds of pecans, and they say they have a lot more. My dad loves doing this, so he is very happy.

Glad your father is doing so well. I can imagine how happy he must be to be able to do a familiar and fun task like shelling pecans.
