Franks is right and the first person to really address what might happen if we're hit by a WMD. For one thing, the stock markets across the western world would collapse, making 1929 look like a slight dip. Millions would be thrown out of work and the economy would come to a standstill. Paychecks and government checks would stop flowing. Anarchy would follow unless the military steps in and inposes control. Those who think they are safe just because they live in Des Moines or Boise better get real. We're talking about the end of western civilization as we know it. Too bad the pols won't tell the sheeple this is what's in store for them if they keep up the current nonsense.

I'm shocked that post 9/11, people still think there's some actual security. We're on the brink of destruction nationally, just like those that stayed in the WTC after the 93 bombing were just waiting for the end as well.

the economic dislocation would indeed be the worst part of it, for those not directly affected.

Franks is right No, he is wrong about discarding the constitution.
No doubt it will be terrible if it happens, but we can and will survive it. We would not survive a discarding of the constitution. See my post 65.

Actually, employment would probably get better; our gov't would imposed a martial law type fascist system; worked wonders for Germany.

If those planes had hit the Exchange-we would already be where you suggest we may go. I shudder to think...
