Here is a letter asking the administator
of the hospital where MS works to look into
whether MS displays the qualities that they
want to see in their nurses.
I am told that combining three transmission
methods yields better results:

Dear Administrator Pfeiffer,
I wish to inform you that my circle has grave
reservations seeing Mr. Michael Schiavo, RN on
the personnel roster of your Emergency Department.
While uncertain whether nurse Schiavo will be
found culpable, we were made aware of public
calls for an investigation into his alleged
criminal activities. Particularly disturbing
are allegations that nurse Schiavo committed
negligence punishable under Florida and
Federal Statutes.
Testimony sworn to in Federal Court alleges
that nurse Schiavo falsified or removed nursing
progress records in connection with guardianship
of the disabled Terri Schindler-Schiavo, whom he
is further said to be exploiting for financial
gain. Should this be true, nurse Schiavo is
in violation of Federal and Florida law and
also of the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
Nurse Schiavo recently petitioned the Florida
State Court to suppress discovery of circumstances
surrounding anomalies shown by a bone scan of
his ward. There are unexplained compression
fractures and trauma to first lumbar vertebra
and right femur. It would be appropriate for
nurse Schiavo to press for an investigation
into the causes of injuries, rather than
seeking to obscure them. We trust you will
agree that a nurse may be expected to look
for the causes of traumatic signs in a person
under his care.
Are you aware that nurse Schiavo admitted under
oath in Florida State Court that he ordered a
urinary tract infection to go untreated in the
hope that it would progress toward potentially
fatal sepsis? On learning of nurse Schiavos
alleged delinquencies, we inquired into your
facility and the reputation of your insurance
underwriters. To our relief, we were satisfied
as to Mease Countryside Hospitals worthiness
of confidence.
Nevertheless, we prefer declining treatment by
your Emergency Department until all doubts
regarding nurse Schiavos character and
professional demeanor are resolved. I urge
instructing your Personnel Department to
consider whether having nurse Schiavo on
staff in the interim furthers the favorable
public perception of your quality of service.
Sincerely,
That is an awesome letter. I think it would be most helpful if it were to come from area residents. I'll forward this along to my friends and relatives in the area, and ask that they contact Mease Hospital.
