I've wondered about Marta's role in this, but I do think we should leave the man's marriage out of the discussion. No offense intended but it would probably be more honorable to do that.

I must admit I've missed any news of her helping him through this---especially with his brother David's weekly updates on his progress. Its been a constant "nagging" question---not necessarily prompted by that comment, though that was curious certainly.

Actually, I thought he was saying that *he* wasn't/isn't able to make *her* happy and not the other way around. Hopefully, we're all wrong and there is no problem with their relationship. I haven't read the whole thread because I just walked in the door, so I may be repeating something already stated here. I did listen to the whole show, though.

We all teach our kids not to depend on the opinions of others to validate their worth. This is something we all know but forget sometimes. I doubt it was anything more than that.
