It was documented that Bill "The Zipper" Klinton was given at least 3 occasions to arrest OBL, but he failed to act on it all three times...[which] resulted in over 3000 civilians dying in one hour. I fear that we have not seen the end of deaths that can be attributed to the Clinton administration's incompetence.

While Fox News and every other cable network concentrates on Scott/Laci/Amber/Kobe, check out what's REALLY going on in the news...

Tom Sullivan filling in for Rush said that Tony Snow is leaving Fox News and
will be replaced by Chris Wallace.
I wonder why and where will he be going.
I think I've heard Tony make a quick appearance (or two) on The Laura Ingraham Show
(via my local KRLA here in Los Angeles) during the past month.
IIRC, Tony was what I'd call "coy" in responding to Ms. Ingraham's request for specifics about
his future radio show.
(My amateur speculation is that maybe Tony is getting syndication with the same group
that runs Ingraham's show...but that's just my amateur guess!)

Speaking of OBL being in Doha, Qatar in 1996 visiting a member of the Qatari ruling family, the following should be interesting to research.
On the coup attempt in Qatar, Foreign Minister testified and
Judgment postponed in Qatar explosion case
The high criminal court in Qatar decided to postpone its judgment in a case in which seven supects, six Qataris and one Omani, are charged with attempting to blow up a Passport Department building in Doha.
The decision was put off until a session coming up on September 14 to complete consultations.

"I suspect W has known this information for a long time."
And I suspect that there's a lot more of this kind of info from G.W., just in time for the "Presidential Race and Debates". I wonder what the demonrat candidate will want to talk (read -rant) about then.

Jay the "Rock" probably can't use this evaluation as Hillary has told him the the White House must be crucified on their "use" thinking on all their decisions in the past two years and certify it through channeling via Eleanor Roesevelt prior to looking for any real issues that helped form the sensible policy of ridding ourselves and the world of the risk of Saddam's continued rule.
I also imagine the the NYT is busy contacting the Weekly Standard so that they can reprint this on their front page and give credit to the WS. (Whoops, must have had toooo many nachos...what was I thinking)
Bottom line, this will get no coverage outside of a few conservative publications of little circulation.

First Qatari convicted in coup attempt arrested
Qatar, Politics, 7/26/1999
The Qatari minister of the interior announced on Sunday that the security forces in Qatar have arrested Hamad Bin Jasem al-Thani, the first person convicted in the failed coup attempt which took place in 1996, who is a member of the ruling family in the country. The Ministry said in a statement, that Hamad Bin Jasem al-Thani will be brought before the court immediately.
The convict is the cousin of Prince Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani. He was the minister of the economy at the beginning of the 1990s and the police director in the 1980s.
The trial for the 121 persons who are accused in being involved in the coup attempt that started in Doha on October 26, 1997. Some 36 suspects are being tried in absentia. On July 13, the representative of the higher criminal court in Doha called for the death penalty for the accused.
Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Hamad al-Thani is the only member of the ruling family who is officially involved in the coup attempt. Other members of the ruling family suspected of being involved in the attempt were put under house arrest but were not brought before the court.

I'm concerned that either the info is not true or our intel agencies are incompetent at maintaining secrets. Unfortunatley, I agree with you on this one......... and my prime concern is that our people are not capable of keeping secrets and that in itself is very scary
