Landrieu singled out Hatch because he was talking just before her time was scheduled to start. He requested that she yield a minute (to come off GOP time in the next hour) and she flat out said NO! Then she asked a question of Hatch (Do you know waht this 98% number represents?"), and only permitted him a one word answer (He answered, "No."). She was a sight to behold. Must-see Senate drama. Easily my vote for "best" entertainment.
Durbin and Reid tie for being the biggest dirtbags.
Lots of good GOP performers. I won't try to pick, they worked as a good team.

I just watched the Landrieu hissy fit. Hatch was asking for 30 more seconds on behalf of Kay Bailey Hutchison, who was speaking at the time. As he was taking off his microphone, he mumbled something about "can't get 30 seconds around here".
I noticed how Landrieu, in addition to other things, gave a Freudian slip, just like Chuck Schumer did, when she said that these judges had been "rejected". THEY HAVEN'T BEEN REJECTED BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN VOTED ON! They're being blocked from a vote by a tyrannical minority, but they haven't been rejected. A minority can't reject a nominee, in truth. But that is their aim, of course.
I hope President Bush gives a recess appointment to Justice Brown, merely to make Mary Landrieu eat her words.
