President Bush signaled that he wanted a "clean" Manufacturer's protection bill to get to his desk, not something saddled with a Feinstein rider.
DeLay will kill this thing. That's his job.

Won't happen. By supporting Dubya on the war, conservatives have joined themselves with him at the hip. They will vote for him on that issue, and that issue alone, if all else fails. He knows this and acts accordingly.

I didn't say that and don't believe it to be true. Those who support this are not all enthusiastic supporters but include many who don't think about it beyond a vague. "yeah, that sounds ok to me."
