An attack now would be very strategic in that the economy is fianlly rebounding and the all important holiday shopping season is approaching (retails entire year is based on holiday shopping). If terrorists could keep people from spending money over the holidays, then we'd be back in a recession, and because many are financially vulverable due to the past recession, we could be looking at a depression.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the economy starting to rebound when Sept. 11th hit?
