Oh, sure it does. The Nation survived 600,000 dead in the civil war; and, that was a much larger percentage of the population then. Americans always rise to the occasion. The Japs thought America would stay out of the war once they submitted their "Pearle Harbor" warning.
I'm an old fart. That wouldn't stop me from participating in some kick-ass. I know there are millions just like me. There are a lot of wimps in this Nation. It doesn't take many "strong backs" to get the proper job done.
Are you aware that only 7% of the population participated in the American Revolution? The rest stood by and wrung thier hands.
