I'm waiting for somebody to tell me exactly how they stop them -- exactly.
The way I understand it, it would work something like this: The President Pro-Tempore of the Senate would declare that the 60 vote requirement for cloture on Judicial nominees would be changed to 51. The Dims would then challenge that to the Parliamentian. The Parliamentian could decide either way, then there would be a simple majority vote to approve or disapprove the Parliamentarian's ruling.
Problem is, it seems those N.E. RINOs (Chaffee, Snow, Collins etc.) wouldn't vote in favor of this procedure, I guess we need a few additional real Republicans in the Senate.
