I'm still trying to figure out why they needed all those cots if they were only planning to stay 30 hours.I've heard some of those senators speak - believe me, the cots are there for a reason...

I read a story once that Arlen Spector excused himself from a hearing to use the bathroom, when he cam back he had a trail of toilet paper hangimg from the rear of his trousers that was about ten feet long, I never laughed so hard in my life

Yep. Nothing like FEAR to make a grown man's shortbreads quiver under his kilt.

Sen. Coryn (TX) up now.
Coryn's bringing out the hardware. He's saying that the Senate is really 0 vs. 4 (# fillibusters in the last 2 years on the last 4 nominees)
I'm waiting for a hissy fit from him.

Any chance the French looking Hog rider, Breckboy, or Whiny LIEberman will interupt their fund raising to WORK for their salaries in the Senate tonight?
To: Amelia
but it does seem as if a real filibuster might be more effective.A "real" filibuster is to prevent a vote from being brought to the floor when only a few Senators want to prevent it. In the case of these judge votes, there are 44 dems firmly committed to not letting the vote get to the floor.
What Senator Frist and crew have designed is 30 hours of attention to the obstructiveness of these 44 senators to allowing the rest of the senate to perform their consent/no consent vote on each of the nominees.
