Raising the minimum wage will create more unemployment.
It's a law of economics.
It's also common sense. Which is why democrats have a problem understanding it.
To: Howlin
We all have our crosses to bear; I have Edwards.
Yeah tell me about it. I've got Landrieu (aka Hitlery's southern protégé).

I wonder why none of these Dems complained about not getting any work done in the Senate while Harry Reid held the floor for 8 hours on Monday (so I heard!)?
To: hoosiermama
He's going on that the government is wasting time on judicial nominees and not helping families raise children. I got an idea. He can do his job of nominating judges and let parents do their job of raising their own children versus having the government do it.
To: nuffsenuff
Absolutely. The Supply and Demand curve. Any effective price floor will create a surplus of workers.

If the Dems in the Senate had been doing their jobs all along & allowed a vote on the judges we wouldn't be "wasting time." We would be on those other subject.
Connecticut this & that...blah, blah.

Not for long, but one day is too much.!

LOL!

"Rights of the minority!?" What?! Oh, please!
To: Howlin
I guess they enjoyed listening to him reading from a storybook! Dodd is dissing the framers now, saying that it is not working? What is wrong with just abiding by the rules they set up? I do not need the bottom half of a sandwich lecturing me on the concept of Constitution!
To: RepublicanArmy
Cutting hours is also something companies do--causing more income to be lost than gained from the increase in the minimum wage.

What is wrong with just abiding by the rules they set up?Because it works against them, that's why.

"Tyrrany of a king?"
To: Howlin
I hope Frist calls the dems out on everything they(dems) think they should be discussing.
How about 30hr debates for ALL the subject that dems want to talk about.
So you want to talk about the minimum wage, fine that start on Mon the 17th @6pm and go until Midnight on Tue.
Then on Wed. the 19th starting @6pm we'll start talking about S14 the energy bill and talk on that until midnight Thur.
Step back and watch the dems stutter and stammer.

The dims are the ones that are obstructing, but as usual with a complicit press, they are spinning it the other way.!
To: Citizen Soldier
