Yall don't take this the wrong way because I do value life, but IS THAT ALL? You value innocent life, as most of us here do. And these deaths/captures ensured that more innocent lives were saved today.

I understand that it is easy to sit here and armchair quarterback this operation, and that I am not an expert in miltary tactics. I do believe based on what I can see happening that before our "Operation Iron Hammer" began, our military was being held back somewhat from doing what they know needs to be done. I'm not an expert either. We now know more about what occurred in this operation, and I've seen absolutely nothing different from what the military has been doing the entire time.

Just heard an update from Steve Harrigan (FNC) in Baghdad.
U.S. Forces have over 500 'foreign fighters' in custody. At least 20 of them are suspected al-Qaeda, but the link hasn't been proven. Many of the prisoners are from Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
This isn't directly related to yesterday's action, these are enemy combatants apprehended over the last few months.
In related news, MSNBC reporter talked about a van that got 'sprayed' by gunfire from an Apache gunship. It seems that the van with 8 people inside was driving around like it was on a paper route. It would stop, the guys would get out and loose a couple of mortar rounds, then they'd pile back in and drive off, only to repeat the process. After two or three stops, the Apache hosed 'em down. Good Guys - 8, Bad Guys - 0.
