You think Bremer, being a State guy, is upset about the Generals comments?

No, I think there's probably some consultation involved to flesh out the details and limits on what "cracking down" means. Bremer has at least as big a stake in it as the military guys do. Wouldn't surprise me if some of the military brass have been called back, too.

With Gen. Abizaids comments in mind, this unscheduled trip does sound like there is definitely something big on the horizon.

Also .. there have been comments lately that Bush admin is disappointed in governing council in Iraq. Perhaps they have a new plan to try to motivate these people.
