My recently deceased father-in-law was a raisin farmer operating about 10 miles from Dr. Hanson's place. They build a pretty tough breed of men there in the San Joaquin Valley. You have to be rugged to work outdoors all summer in the 100+ degree heat and dust. I wish I could ask him if he knew the family now.
